The suburb near Joliet is getting a new dessert and cafe option.
Casa de Crepes is bringing a new location to Chicagoland, this time in Plainfield at 12736 S Route 59, Unit 110. The concept first debuted in Oakbrook Terrace three years ago, and has become a popular breakfast spot in the area. Co-owner Victor Diaz told What Now Chicago the team is looking to open around mid-November, pending final approvals.
“Already established in Oakbrook Terrace, Casa de Crepes will be serving up latin-inspired crepes, a coffee bar and other delicious items,” says a recent post from Lauren Fulenta, a local Plainfield realtor.
While Casa de Crepes is known for their signature desserts with options like Nutella and strawberry, other items are available like sandwiches, chilaquiles and pastries. A popular handheld is the buffalo chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato. Drinks include iced coffees, frappes, lattes, teas, milkshakes and smoothies.
The storefront is at the southwest corner of 127th Street and Route 59, sharing the plaza with chains like 7 Brew coffee and Potbelly. This is attached to a Target, as well as other retailers like Five Below and Ross Dress for Less. The plaza is on the north side of Plainfield,
Updates on Casa de Crepes and the official opening date will be released on the team’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
