National lifestyle retailer Anthropologie is preparing to open a new store at The Shops on Lane Avenue in Upper Arlington, bringing its fashion, home and lifestyle offerings to the community, according to Columbus Business First.
The upcoming location will span approximately 9,000 square feet and is expected to open in late spring 2027. The store will feature both Anthropologie’s traditional retail offerings and Anthropologie Weddings, the brand’s bridal-focused division.
Anthropologie has built its reputation as a lifestyle retailer that goes beyond women’s clothing. Its assortment includes apparel, shoes, accessories, beauty products, furniture, home décor, gifts and other lifestyle merchandise.
The brand was founded in 1992 in Wayne, Pennsylvania, and has since expanded into a global lifestyle retailer with more than 200 stores. Anthropologie is part of URBN, the parent company behind brands including Urban Outfitters, Free People, Terrain and FP Movement.
The retailer is known for its distinctive store environments and curated merchandise, combining fashion with home and lifestyle products. Its collections are designed around a mix of contemporary, vintage-inspired and artistic influences.
The Upper Arlington location will also include Anthropologie Weddings, giving local shoppers access to the retailer’s bridal offerings.
Anthropologie Weddings carries bridal gowns, bridesmaids’ dresses, accessories, party dresses and wedding décor. The division also works with a range of designers and brands to offer different bridal styles and price points.
The addition of Anthropologie Weddings means the new Upper Arlington store will serve both everyday lifestyle shoppers and customers looking for wedding-related apparel and accessories.
Anthropologie has not yet announced the exact opening date for the Upper Arlington location. The company said the store is currently expected to open in late spring 2027 and that additional details, including quotes and high-resolution imagery, will be available closer to the opening.
WhatNow Columbus reached out to Anthropologie for additional information about the upcoming Upper Arlington location but did not receive a response at the time of publication.
