Brassica is continuing its expansion in Central Ohio with plans for a new Columbus location in the Polaris area, alongside three additional restaurants currently in development, according to Columbus Business First.

The fast-casual Mediterranean brand will open at 2170 Ikea Way, bringing one of its locally founded concepts to a growing retail and dining corridor north of the city.

Brassica co-founder and CEO Kevin Malhame told the publication mentioned above that the company is “excited” to expand into that part of town, noting that it is a strong community with a growing residential base.

The Polaris area has become a key destination for restaurant growth, with nearby developments including Topgolf and The Galaxy at Polaris project, which also features upcoming concepts such as Lox Bagel Shop and Mikey’s Late Night Slice.

The upcoming Brassica location will span approximately 2,600 square feet and mark a milestone for the brand, as its first ground-up build rather than a traditional retrofit.

Malhame added that while Brassica has previously built out existing restaurant spaces, this project represents a new approach for the company’s physical footprint.

The Polaris restaurant is currently targeting a spring opening.
