Ox-B’s is continuing its Central Ohio expansion with a new restaurant planned for downtown Marion. According to recent reporting from Columbus Business First, the Newark-based fried chicken chain is expected to open its seventh location on May 20 at 172 S Main St, Marion.
The upcoming restaurant marks another milestone for the growing brand, which was launched by owner Joe Holbrook in April 2020.
“We’re excited to bring Ox-B’s to Marion and become part of the community,” Holbrook said in a press release shared with the publication mentioned above. “This location is another step forward as we continue to grow and reach more guests.”
The fast-casual concept is known for its menu of boneless and bone-in chicken wings, wraps, salads and other comfort-style offerings. Opening day celebrations are expected to include free food from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., alongside giveaways featuring merchandise, gift cards, coupons and a chance for customers to win free wings for a year.
The new Marion location will also support Marion Matters through fundraising efforts during the grand opening and in the weeks following. Guests who donate to the nonprofit will reportedly receive coupons for free menu items.
Ox-B’s is one of several restaurant concepts joining Henry Development Co.’s $3.5 million Lydia redevelopment project in downtown Marion. Other recent additions to the development include Lazeez Grill and Whit’s Frozen Custard.
The Lydia project is part of a larger revitalization effort in the area, transforming a building that had reportedly sat vacant for decades into a mixed-use destination with restaurants and upper-level apartments.
