Mo’ Bettahs to Open New Location in Argyle

Mo’ Bettahs will open at 1228 FM 407, Suite 130, on August 14. The restaurant will be part of the growing Harvest Town Center, anchored by Tom Thumb and surrounded by dining options including Chick-fil-A and McDonald’s.

According to QSR Magazine, Mo’ Bettahs will host a soft opening on August 13 before its grand opening. Guests will be greeted with a complimentary mini plate, drinks, and a welcome from the founders.

The grand-opening celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a block-party-style event.

The menu draws from the island of Oʻahu. Dishes include grilled Teriyaki Chicken, Kālua Pig, and Pūlehu Chicken. The restaurant will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and closed Sundays.

This location was previously announced as a 2,202-square-foot restaurant project. Documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicate construction began in March.

About the Restaurant Chain

Kimo and Kalani Mack founded Mo’ Bettahs in Bountiful, Utah, in 2008. The concept was inspired by Hawaiian plate lunches and culture. The brothers grew up on Oʻahu, where they were introduced to the plate-lunch tradition.

The brand specializes in grilled or slow-cooked proteins, rice, and macaroni salad. The chain has expanded in Utah, Idaho, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Kansas, and Nevada.

Its menu remains centered on familiar Hawaiian-style dishes. Teriyaki Chicken is made with boneless chicken thighs that are marinated and grilled. They are finished with the brand’s teriyaki sauce. The Kālua Pig is slow-roasted for over 10 hours.

Mo’ Bettahs is continuing to expand its footprint across North Texas with its newest restaurant in Argyle.
