According to public filings, Campisi’s aims to open a new restaurant at 5944 Royal Lane in Dallas. The new location will bring the family-owned Italian-American concept to the Preston Royal area, considered by the owner, David Campisi as a “great spot”. The restaurant serves a menu of Italian-American food, including thin-crust pizzas, house-made pasta dishes, chicken entrées, sandwiches, salads and traditional family recipes. The opening is planned for August 1.

Guests can expect the same Campisi’s experience the brand is known for, with no major changes planned for the concept. “There will be no significant changes. It will follow the Campisi’s line,” David Campisi told WhatNow Dallas.

Founded in 1946, Campisi’s has become one of Dallas’ most recognizable restaurant brands. The company traces its roots to Carlo “Papa” Campisi, whom the restaurant credits with helping introduce pizza to Dallas and establishing what it describes as Texas’ first pizza place.

Over the decades, the family-owned business has expanded beyond its original location while maintaining a menu centered on pizza, pasta, Italian-American favorites and longtime house recipes.  Today, Campisi’s operates nine restaurants throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Preston Royal location represents the latest addition to the brand.
