According to public filings, Planet Fitness plans to open at 4900 E. I-30, with construction scheduled to be completed by February 2027. The fitness center currently lists the Fate location as “coming soon” at the northeast corner of I-30 and Water Tower Road.
Planet Fitness currently operates more than 2,800 locations across the United States. The Fate location would be operated by Excel Fitness, one of Planet Fitness’ largest franchisees, with more than 180 clubs across Texas and several other states.
The gym chain has built its fitness experience around its High Value, Low Price model. The gym chain also has a Judgement Free Zone philosophy designed to make fitness accessible to everyone, regardless of experience level. The brand’s locations typically feature a lineup of cardio and strength-training equipment, tanning, massage chairs, and HydroMassage beds.

The Fate location will place Planet Fitness along I-30 in Rockwall County, near the growing communities of Fate and Royse City.
