A family-owned Mexican chain is preparing to open its doors at The Shops at Northfield soon, according to a public notice published in The Daily Journal. 3 Margaritas will take over the former La Sandia Cantina space at the shopping complex — 8340 E Northfield Blvd Unit 1690.

The entity behind 3 Margaritas, G & M Azteca LLC, applied for a Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License with a Standard Cabaret in mid-February. A virtual hearing regarding the matter is scheduled for May 8 at 9 AM.

On the website for The Shops at Northfield, it states that the eatery is “coming soon”. It also lists the restaurant’s expected operating hours as Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM.

Adrian Gutierrez Morales, who owns the upcoming establishment, confirmed the location to What Now Denver. The company was started by his family members in Washington and grew to 15 locations. They later sold that business and opened the enterprise in Colorado, now operating over a dozen in the Front Range area, according to Our Community Now.
