A Detroit-based hospitality company is bringing their burger concept back to the suburb.
G&B Hospitality recently signed the lease for their new space coming to 42983 Woodward Avenue in Bloomfield Township. The owners already serve their smashburgers out of their Shelby Township restaurant. Co-owner of the hospitality group Goran Dimic told What Now Detroit the team is hoping to open the restaurant around September or October.
Dimic and fellow co-owner Brandon Gorgies have been looking at the the former Zoup! space near the intersection of W Square Lake Road for a few months. They had previously looked at the current Middle Eats storefront in the area. Dimic said it’s a prime location as there is frequent traffic at the intersection.
“Metro Detroit’s best smashburger!” Says the description on their website.
Patty & Press currently operates at 52300 Van Dyke Avenue, serving their signature smashburgers like the Truffle Smash and the West Coast Smash with new school American cheese and their signature sauce. The menu also offers truffle fries, chicken bites, onion rings, friend chicken and grilled chicken sandwiches. Beverages include milkshakes, lemonades and sodas.
The restaurant will share the building with a FedEx Office Print & Ship Center. Other chains nearby include Chicken Shack, Jimmy John’s and Cold Stone Creamery. Downtown Pontiac is just north of the intersection.
As their Shelby Township location recently opened last December, Dimic and Gorgies are focusing their energy on this burger spot for now. More information on Patty & Press can be found on their Instagram page.
