Nona’s Italian Grill has permanently closed its doors in Woodlands. The Italian restaurant has shut its operations and served its final meal on June 1. The restaurant’s sister location in Woodforest will remain open.

Nona’s Italian Grill Ends Service in The Woodlands After 9-Year Run

The family-owned restaurant, Nona’s Italian Grill, was founded in 2010 in Tomball by Juan Garcia. In 2018, the restaurant opened its Woodlands location at 3091 College Park Dr #185.

The restaurant offered Northern Italian dishes and a relaxed, upscale dining experience. After the success of the Woodlands location, the restaurant expanded to Montgomery with a location in the Woodforest community.

According to the official closure announcement on social media, the Woodlands location closed on June 1.

“It’s with a heavy heart that we announce we will be closing our Woodlands location as of June 1st (with today being our last day),” stated the restaurant team.

In the announcement, the team thanked the community and loyal guests for their support. They said, “We are grateful to everyone who has supported our family-owned restaurant for the 9 years we have had the privilege of being there.”

Nona’s team did not mention any official reason for its sudden closure.

Woodforest Restaurant Will Remain Open

Even though the Woodlands location has closed, the Houston community can still enjoy the authentic Nona’s Italian flavors at the Woodforest location. The restaurant team invited fans to visit at 950 Pine Market Ave, Suite 400, in Montgomery, Texas.

Following the closure announcement, several loyal customers shared their disappointment on social media. Many customers also expressed appreciation that the Woodforest location will continue operating.

“So thankful you are in Woodforest!” commented a customer.

With the abrupt closure of Nona’s Italian Grill, the Houston dining community has lost a notable gem.
