Drip Nail Salon is expanding its Houston footprint. According to a recently filed permit, the beloved upscale nail salon is expected to open in the Long Point Plaza at 8203 Long Point Rd.

The permit further details that construction is intended to start in August and is slated to wrap up in the beginning of December. If all goes well with the $300,000 construction project and permitting, the new Drip Nail Salon should open before the end of the year.

“Conversion of a restaurant into a nail salon space within an existing retail center,” the permit reads.

The Long Point Plaza address once belonged to Tacos Del Julio, which recently closed.

What Now Houston briefly spoke with Drip Nail Salon owner Thuylinh Nguyen, who confirmed the opening. Unfortunately, Nguyen was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.

“The ‘Redefined’ campaign is all about embracing and projecting the individuality of beauty, culture, fashion, and lifestyle,” the Drip Nail Salon website reads.

“This approach captures the mission of Drip Nail Salon to support each client’s individual creativity and style.”

Drip Nail Salon first opened in Houston in December 2023 on West 18th Street in Houston Heights. Founded as a modern, aesthetic beauty space, it specializes in specialized enhancements like Gel-X, Builder Gel, and Poly Gel. In 2024, the brand celebrated its first anniversary with a community event featuring a champagne tower, local tea and coffee pairings, and a traditional lion dance.

We suspect the grand opening for the new Drip Nail Salon to come to the Long Point Plaza will offer the same. Keep your eyes open, and your ears perked for the latest!
