Magnolia Bath and Soap Co. is on a course for some significant changes. The Mississippi-born brand expanded to Magnolia in 2025 and is now rebranding to Magnolia Ritual. Magonlia Ritual not only has a refreshed name, but also a new storefront and brand identity, according to Community Impact.

Magonlia Ritual actually has an additional title to its rebranded name: Texas Apothecary. The focus will be on blending modern apothecary traditions with Texas-made goods for good living. Over the course of the next few weeks, you can expect to see updated branding, packaging, storefront signage, and online platforms to reflect the brand change from Magnolia Bath and Soap Co. to Magnolia Ritual-Texas Apothecary.

Christina Nicklas is the franchisee for the Magnolia Bath and Soap Co. in Magnolia and the founder and owner of the rebranded Magnolia Ritual-Texas Apothecary.

Magnolia Ritual is an independently owned Texas apothecary in Magnolia, Texas, blending handcrafted bath, body, and home goods with immersive retail experiences, workshops, and thoughtfully curated products from local makers,” Nicklas shared in an email conversation with What Now Houston.

“The rebrand reflects the company’s evolution toward a community-centered destination focused on craftsmanship, creativity, and everyday rituals.”

But don’t fret. The store won’t be closing its doors. In fact, existing customers can expect all gift cards, rewards, and more to go on without interruption.

Magen Bynum founded the brand in New Albany, Mississippi, in 2016. Driven by a desire to find clean, plant-based alternatives for her daughter’s sensitive skin, Bynum began handcrafting her own products. There are now more than 50 Magnolia Soap & Bath Co. franchise locations across 17 states, including Texas.

What Now Houston also reached out to Bynum, who shared that the rebrand at the Magnolia store is pending litigation.

“I would like to clarify that Magnolia Soap is not going anywhere,” Bynum said.

“The franchise owner mentioned in your report has stolen our recipes, concepts, and designs, and is currently facing pending litigation for these malicious actions. I am committed to protecting our brand and will not allow these individuals to compromise what we have built with over 50 locations across the country.”

While litigation is pending, Nicklas has yet to announce if that means a halt to the recreation of the Magnolia franchise store’s brand identity. As of now, according to Nicklas, customers should expect to see these significant changes in play throughout the next few weeks.

Magnolia Ritual is about creating a place where people can slow down, explore, create, and connect,” Nicklas said.

“While we’ll continue offering products our customers love, we’re building something uniquely rooted in Texas craftsmanship, community, and everyday rituals.”

Magnolia Bath and Soap Co. will rebrand to Magnolia Ritual-Texas Apothecary at 6318 FM 1488, Ste 110, over the next few weeks.
