Pilates Addiction is upping the action in Texas. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit, the fitness brand is embarking on opening a location in The Terrace Shops at 5115 Buffalo Speedway, Suite 500.
“The community was missing an elevated, results-driven fitness experience that bridges the gap between traditional Pilates and high-intensity training. The spark for this opening was our desire to make Pilates an essential part of the daily routine for people who want a results-driven, high-energy environment that delivers a truly unique experience,” Pilates Addiction Franchise, Lam Tran, said in an interview with What Now Houston.
“After seeing the success of our brand in other markets, we realized that there was a huge demand for an elevated, expert-led experience here in West U. We wanted to bring the Pilates Addiction method—our patented reformers and expert Educators—closer to the community, helping people here discover a deeper core connection and a smarter, stronger way to move.”
The permit further indicates that this new elevated, results-driven fitness experience should be opening soon, outlining that the construction project is already underway and is slated to wrap up by the beginning of October. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $250,000 construction project, the new Pilates Addiction opening at The Terrace Shops should be up and running by this fall.
“We are targeting October 17 for a soft opening, but this may change slightly depending on the construction process. We are excited to open as soon as possible and are working diligently to make it happen,” Tran said.
“We’re planning a soft opening around October 17th to give our neighbors a first look at the studio and start building our community. We’ll be hosting our official grand opening approximately 45 days later on December 1st, where we’ll fully debut the Pilates Addiction experience to the wider West U area.”
Pilates Addiction launched in May 2025 in West Hollywood, California, under parent company Sequel Brands. Led by fitness industry veteran and CEO Sarah Luna, who previously helped scale Club Pilates, the brand rapidly expanded by fusing classical alignment with high-intensity, music-driven workouts.
“Pilates Addiction focuses on a nightclub-inspired environment—featuring immersive LED lighting—that stands in stark contrast to the standard, softer studio aesthetic. Another major differentiator is the patented “Aurum” machine. It combines a reformer, Wunda chair, jump board, and barre into one seamless piece of equipment. This allows for fewer transitions, higher active workout minutes, and broader movement combinations,” Tran said.

“We decided to move forward with Pilates Addiction in September 2025 after visiting with the entire corporate team. The Pilates Addiction team is driven to bring the best of Pilates to the masses. We were sold on their passion and objective!”
There are now more than 300 Pilates Addiction franchise territories across 27 states, with locations like the Village Plaza at Bunker Hill and The Terrace Shops studios set to open soon as part of a major nationwide expansion.
“There are an additional 15 plus Pilates Addiction locations scheduled to open across Houston within the next few years. We aim to give Houstonians the most convenient access to experience our studios,” Tran said.
“Pilates Addiction is more than just a studio—it’s a movement, mindset, and lifestyle. We are redefining Pilates by balancing power and control with heart-pumping, precision-focused workouts that honor the body’s biomechanics. Our goal is to make Pilates an essential, results-driven practice that people find ‘addictive’ in the best possible way—it’s the healthiest obsession you’ll ever have!”
Pilates Addiction is anticipated to open in The Terrace Shops at 5115 Buffalo Speedway, Suite 500, this fall.
“Pilates Addiction is designed to be a welcoming, supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable, regardless of experience level. Our classes are safe for all fitness levels, and we are passionate about building a strong, community-focused studio where members feel encouraged, connected, and inspired,” Tran said.
“With this opening, our goal is to bring the ‘Gold Standard’ of Pilates to West University and Upper Kirby. We wanted to offer a studio that truly bridges the gap between traditional Pilates and high-intensity, science-backed training. We aren’t just opening a studio; we’re creating a space that acts as an essential, ‘addictive’ part of the local lifestyle.”
