Launched on Phoenix Avenue in 2023, Phoenix Eatery quickly became a local favorite.

“We were giving a test run,” co-owner Torrey Jones told What Now on Friday. “But we got it going and got a big turnout, with a lot more people than expected.”

After a successful, if unfortunately brief, run, the Phoenix Eatery team took a rest, and now it’s preparing to launch in a completely new form.

Now called 4T’s Eatery, after the four family members who run it (and whose names all begin with T: Torrey, Timothy, Tiana, and Timari), the new restaurant will open in a larger, upgraded space at 6050 Moncrief Road.

“Y’all asked, we listened,” says an Instagram post by 4T’s Eatery, showing a series of decadent-looking waffles and chicken-and-waffle combinations. “New location. Same energy. Same flavor. Same love. The wait is officially over.”

“God is amazing,” says on common the post above. “I missed yall so much.”

4T’s Eatery is expected to launch in late June/early July.
