Jacksonville is getting a new place to sauce it, dust it and dip it, as Sauce N’ Bone prepares to bring its flavor-first wings concept to Atlantic Boulevard.
The new restaurant is planned for 10916 Atlantic Blvd., in Justin Plaza, where the roughly 1,064-square-foot space will become the first location for the new concept.
According to the Sauce N’ Bone website, bold flavors are coming soon, with the business teasing menu drops and opening announcements as it gets closer to launch. The site bills Sauce N’ Bone as ‘the place for wings’ and keeps its approach simple: flavor first, no shortcuts.
The concept comes from Jason Malih, who is also behind Sip n’ Smash, the Jacksonville burger spot he opened with Elias Ishak at The Palms at Gate Parkway earlier this year.
While the full Sauce N’ Bone menu has not yet been released, the website gives plenty of hints about where the restaurant is headed. Photos show sauced wings and fries, while the brand’s tagline – ‘Sauce it, dust it, dip it’ puts the focus squarely on flavor and customization.
The business is promising a menu built around bold flavors and real ingredients, with a no-shortcuts approach that carries through its branding.
And, Sauce N’ Bone isn’t just waiting for opening day to start building a following. The website already has a loyalty program in place, offering customers a free item after eight purchases.
The new restaurant will occupy Suite 23 at Justin Plaza, a shopping center along Atlantic Boulevard between St. Johns Bluff Road and Mindanao Drive. The space was previously home to Sushi N Wok and sits between Thai Blossom Bistro and Fit Meals.
The restaurant’s arrival also adds another concept to Malih’s growing Jacksonville portfolio. Sip n’ Smash opened in July with a menu centered on burgers, fries, onion rings, housemade sauces, milkshakes and lemonade. Sauce N’ Bone takes that flavor-forward approach in a different direction, putting wings at the center of the experience.
An official opening date has not yet been announced. But if the website is any indication, Jacksonville’s next wing spot isn’t planning to play it safe. Flavor first. No shortcuts. Sauce it, dust it, dip it.
