Advance Auto Parts is expanding its Jacksonville footprint with a larger-format facility planned for the Beauclerc Village shopping center.
The company is taking over the former Big Lots space at 9718 Old St. Augustine Road.
According to the Jacksonville Business Journal, the project is being built as an Advance Auto Parts market hub, a larger facility designed to support both retail operations and the distribution of automotive parts in the surrounding area.
Most of the building will be used for parts storage, according to plans for the project. About 2,400 square feet will be dedicated to the customer-facing sales area.
Advance Auto Parts sells a broad selection of automotive parts, accessories and maintenance products, including batteries, brakes, filters, lighting, engine components, tools and fluids. The retailer also offers services such as parts pickup and delivery through its stores and online platform.
The Beauclerc Village project will give the company considerably more space to stock inventory while positioning the facility to serve other Advance Auto Parts locations and customers throughout the area.
The opening date for the new market hub has not yet been announced.
