AutoZone, “the leading retailer and a leading distributor of automotive replacement parts and accessories in the U.S.,” is currently going in big on an expansive push across the country. And according to coverage by the Jacksonville Daily Record, a permit has been issued for a $1.4 million project that would convert part of Regency Plaza’s Burlington store, which has downsized, into a new AutoZone “MegaHub” location.
Previous coverage by the Jacksonville Business Journal places this move within a broader expansionary context. “AutoZone is investing $1.6 billion to open hundreds of new stores and megahubs,” the Business Journal reported.
“For more than 43 years, AutoZone has been committed to providing the best parts, prices and customer service in the automotive aftermarket industry,” says the AutoZone website. “We have a rich culture and history of going the Extra Mile for our customers and our community.”
Opening in the space made available by the Burlington downsizing in Regency Plaza, located at 9824 Atlantic Blvd, AutoZone will join a business community that also includes retailers like OfficeMax, Coco Beauty Supply, and DD’s Discounts.
