Buzz is growing about Pearl Square’s Vandeveer, a new residential building launching in downtown Jacksonville this summer. On Friday, What Now reported on plans for a new Japanese restaurant from legendary hospitality group The Indigo Road, and now word is out about another tenant set to make Vandeveer the ultimate lifestyle hub: Jetset Pilates, the growing Pilates studio franchise, is launching a new location there.
Behind the new Jetset Pilates studio are franchisees Tyler and Crystal Netherland. What Now spoke with the couple about their journey with the brand this week.
“We both come from a family of entrepreneurs so continuing to grow and expand our businesses was a no-brainer,” Crystal Netherland said. “JETSET Pilates fell into our lap when [I] was looking for a change in [my] fitness routine. [I] fell in love with the method and Tyler loves the business side of it. Together we decided this was the perfect next step in our journey and we couldn’t be happier.”
“Jetset Pilates is a 50-minute high-intensity, low-impact full-body workout on our custom Jetset reformers,” says the Jetset Pilates website. “Designed with seamless transitions between exercises, this class keeps your muscles under constant tension for maximum results. With DJ-curated playlists, you’ll escape into a perfect mind-body connection, moving closer to your goals.”
What’s your vision for Jetset Pilates in the Pearl Square location and in the overall Jacksonville-area market? What Now asked.
“My vision is for JETSET to become the go to Luxury Pilates brand in this location and across Jacksonville. For this studio specifically, I want it to feel elevated, welcoming, and deeply connected to the local community through strong relationships with nearby businesses, apartments, hotels, and wellness partners,” said Netherland. “In the larger Jacksonville market, I want JETSET to be known for the best Pilates experience, strong instructors, high energy classes, luxury events, and a community people want to be part of. When people think Pilates or elevated wellness in Jacksonville, we want them to think JETSET.”
Netherland said construction on the location hasn’t quite started yet, but the goal is to open in early fall.
