After the recent grand opening of its Ann Rd location, fine casual chicken chain Houston’s Hot Chicken isn’t looking back. It is known to be plowing ahead with several more Las Vegas locations (along with franchise locations opening in other southwestern states like California and Arizona), with the goal of hitting ten locations by the end of the year. Permit paperwork shows the company is moving forward with a planned location at Fashion Show Mall, with an estimated $450,000 for construction allotted in retail space 1550.

The brainchild of best friends and fellow Youtubers Houston Crosta and Edmond Barseghian, the chain serves a menu of Nashville-style hot chicken, crinkle-cut fries, salad, cookies, and milkshakes, with sauces ranging from no spice and mild, to spicy, and then to Liftoff and Houston We Have a Problem, the last of which is so spicy guests must sign a waiver before ordering. The idea is to take the hot chicken craze in a more elevated direction.

“We’re focused on being the highest possible quality, everything antibiotic- and cage-free,” Crosta told What Now Las Vegas earlier this year. “We’ve got this product, hot chicken, that is creating an immense buzz around the country. But everyone is focused on fast food. Our goal is to be the number one fine casual restaurant in Las Vegas.”

At Fashion Show Las Vegas, the chain will be joining an energetic community of dining destinations, with sitdown spots like Benihana, Jeannie’s, and El Segundo Sol operating alongside fast casual restaurants like Chipotle and the Pizza Press.

Other Houston’s locations currently in the works include a Downtown location (which will feature a full bar) and a location at the intersection between Blue Diamond Rd and Arville St. The timeline for these locations’ opening is unknown, although one thing is clear: this fine casual chain works fast.
