The study analyzed publicly available data, including Yelp ratings, review volume, and locals’ overall preferences, to take a close look at dining trends in 2026.
Las Vegas is Ranked Among the Highest-Rated Independent Restaurants
The study provides highlights of the highest-rated Independent Pizzerias, Burger Spots, and Vegan Restaurants across the nation. In the cumulative national list of Independent Restaurants, Sonmari from Los Angeles is ranked first.
In Las Vegas, two restaurants ranked in the top 10, both earning strong customer ratings for their distinct concepts. Here’s what sets Alchemist Bar and Restaurant and Rang’s Cocina Moderne apart.
Alchemist Bar and Restaurant

Alchemist Bar and Restaurant is ranked third on the Highest-Rated Independent Restaurants list. Located at 4300 W Spring Mountain Rd #101 in Las Vegas, the restaurant has a complete 5/5 Yelp rating with 54 reviews.

The restaurant blends Spanish and Italian dishes with Asian flavors. Bistek, Pulpo, 3-Cheese Garlic Salmon, and Chilean Sea Bass are some of the names from its menu’s must-try favorites.
Many customers attribute its success to the chef-led menu and meticulous attention to detail.

OnDeck Methodology
OnDeck started the study with a list of over 450 major U.S. cities. Yelp reviews and recommendations were analyzed for each location.
Restaurant chains and eateries with fewer than 50 reviews were excluded from the study. When ratings were tied, a higher number of reviews was given greater weight. OnDeck reached out to restaurants with publicly available contact details and asked a few questions to gather more information.
The OnDeck report highlights the rise of independent restaurants in the food industry. It helps diners discover local eateries and support independent restaurants. The study also emphasizes the importance of delivering a great customer experience for a lasting impact.
