Mievè, has filed for a liquor license at 131 S La Brea Ave in Los Angeles, taking over the former home of Burgers 99 and is planning to open in October according to their Instagram profile. The pizza pop-up was founded by a former management consultant who left his corporate job to make pan pizzas, and it built a strong community over a couple of years through weekly order drops before deciding to open its first permanent location. The license is held by JSA Family Ventures LLC, with members Amirali Ghasemipour and Sepiden Saeedinejad listed as the operators.

Pop-up to brick-and-mortar transitions have become a well worn path in LA’s food scene in recent years, letting chefs and owners build a loyal customer base and test their menu before taking on the overhead of a permanent space. That model has worked especially well for pizza specifically, where a smaller, focused menu keeps costs manageable while a pop-up’s built-in fan base drives day-one demand once a real address finally exists.

La Brea Avenue has become an increasingly competitive strip for new restaurant openings, and Mievè’s arrival adds another closely watched name to that corridor’s growing reputation as a food destination, one built largely on word of mouth rather than a single splashy debut. Fans who’ve spent two years refreshing order pages for a chance at a pie will finally get a walk-in option instead.
