Round 1 Delicious, a brand new Japanese food hall concept from the team behind Round 1, is preparing to debut in West Hollywood at 8497 W. Sunset Blvd.
The company has signed a 19,300-square-foot lease at mixed-use site The Now, according to Los Angeles Business First. This new iconic building provides West Hollywood’s finest retail and office leasing opportunities. The new multi-functional space features multiple large outdoor patio spaces, making it a perfect spot for Round 1 Delicious to land later this year. When the new concept opens, customers can expect eight Japanese eateries, with separate storefronts offering sushi, yakitori, tempura, Chinese food, and more within one venue. The Now, which opened on the Sunset Strip last year and is 70% leased, spans nearly 29,000 square feet and includes terraced retail and dining spaces, a public plaza, a 3,000-square-foot green roof, and a below-grade parking garage, according to CityStreet Commercial and designer Mithun.
Round 1 is a popular multi-entertainment complex, with several locations in the Greater Los Angeles area, all offering a diverse mix of activities like arcade games, bowling, karaoke, and billiards. Notable locations include City of Industry, Burbank, and Lakewood, each featuring bowling alleys, private karaoke rooms, and numerous arcade games, creating an ideal environment for family fun or a night out with friends. The company, which originated in Japan in 1993, quickly grew in popularity, expanding internationally with locations across the United States. Round1 has become a go-to destination for entertainment in major cities because of its modern, vibrant atmosphere.
Now the company will branch out into the food hall world with Round 1 Delicious. It’s unclear exactly when the concept will open, or which tenants will land here when it does. What is known is that the development will highly enhance The Now, which aims to serve as a dynamic gathering place for global influencers in the food and entertainment industries, offering flexible spaces that blend high-caliber restaurants with innovative work environments. Round 1 Delicious will also thrive in this location because of the iconic Sunset Strip, known for its vibrant nightlife, entertainment, and cultural history. It’s a lively neighborhood that attracts locals and tourists, offering a blend of trendy restaurants, bars, historic venues, and upscale retail.
