A few months ago, What Now Memphis reported that the Huey’s located at 4872 Poplar Ave in East Memphis was gearing up for exciting renovations. Now, those renovations are set to commence.

The location will temporarily close its doors to facilitate these upgrades. Planned renovations include a fresh coat of paint, wood staining in various areas, and enhancements to the dining room floor and bar countertop, all to be executed by Traditional Construction.

Excitingly, the beloved Memphis eatery will also unveil the completion of its long-awaited 60-plus-seat enclosed patio. Boasting seven big-screen TVs and four large garage doors, this addition has been eagerly anticipated by East Memphians for some time now.

During the renovation period, patrons can still indulge in Huey’s culinary delights at the Huey’s To-Go Kitchen next door, as well as at any of the other nine locations scattered across the Memphis area.

The renovation timeline is slated from Tuesday, March 26, to Thursday, April 4, 2024, with a tentative reopening scheduled for April 5. However, it’s important to note that these dates are subject to change.
