According to information available on the city’s website, Nufish, LLC, has plans for a new Captain D’s Seafood restaurant to be built at 3838 Summer Ave in Memphis. Led by Operating Partner Joe Springer, Nufish is one of Captain D’s leading franchisees. The group secured approval from the Land Use Control Board in November 2023 and is now gearing up to begin construction on the currently vacant lot. Nufish is also in the process of opening another location in Arlington.
Captain D’s boasts twenty Memphis metropolitan locations, including sites in Southaven, Horn Lake, Cordova, Olive Branch, Collierville, Millington, Hernando, and an outpost coming soon to Oakland. Known for its affordable seafood offerings, Captain D’s menu features a diverse array of options, ranging from Fish Favorites and Grilled Meals to Captain’s Classics and various sandwiches. Additionally, patrons can enjoy baskets, platters, soups, family meals, and even cheesecake.
Despite attempts to reach out, Joe Springer has yet to respond to What Now Memphis’ request for comment. Stay tuned for further updates, including details regarding the grand opening date, as they become available.
