The popular Memphis-based joint, Tops Bar-B-Q, will be opening its first Cordova location on 7960 Cordova Road this July, CEO Randy Hough confirms. This will be the chain’s 18th location.
It is building a 3,000-square-foot freestanding shop with a double-lane drive thru in a parking lot off of Germantown Parkway and Cordova Road. Since 1952 it has served slow-cooked Memphis-style barbeque, cooking its pork shoulders with hardwood, charcoal and green hickory wood. The mid-southern barbecue joint currently operates 17 locations in three states, including Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi.
Its menu includes pork sandwiches, ribs, burgers and brisket. It also offers staple sides including its Bar-B-Q beans, coleslaw, potato salad and fries. You can buy its smoked meats by the pound and sides by the quart and gallon.
