A new store is preparing to make Memphis sleepers’ dreams of a better night’s rest into a reality. The succinctly named Mattress Outlet has filed papers to open in a Mendenhall Road storefront, and it promises to fulfill the area’s mattress needs.

The shop will be selling the titular furniture out of 3710 S Mendenhall Road. Mattress Outlet has a certificate of occupancy under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development as of July 28. The storefront will provide Mattress Outlet with 2,400 square feet of space.

There is not presently a great deal of information available about Mattress Outlet and its opening timeline. The certificate of occupancy application confirms that, as the name suggests, the store will focus on selling mattresses. The company filed as a Limited-Liability Company with the state of Tennessee on June 19 of this year and is listed as Active with the Tennessee Department of State. While none of this confirms an opening time frame, it does show the store is enjoying forward momentum and may soon be helping customers enjoy a comfortable night of sleep.
