A Memphis storefront is about to be all fun and games, thanks to an incoming tenant. A new store called Rush Gaming & Collectibles has filed papers to open on Park Avenue, news certain to bring a twinkle to the eyes of the area young and young-at-heart.
Future customers will be able to check out Rush Gaming & Collectibles at 6069 Park Avenue. An application for a certificate of occupancy filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development shows that the store will span 1,500 square feet, with an occupant load of 50.
While there is not presently a great deal of information available about Rush Gaming & Collectibles available, the submitted form provides a glimpse of what the concept has in store, describing it as a “Trading card store. Such as Pokémon, sports, one piece, etc.”
It is not yet clear when, precisely, Rush Gaming & Collectibles will be opening its doors to the public. The certificate of occupancy is still under review as of July 23. The shop does have an Instagram page live that states it is “coming soon”, though it does not feature any content yet.
What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership and will update readers as details emerge.
