It’s about to get hotter in Sweetwater when Bro’s Hot Chicken brings its spicy offerings to the neighborhood.

Dram Projects 3, LLC recently filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a Bro’s Hot Chicken at 10899 SW Fourth Street.  An exact opening date has not been announced for the restaurant, which is conveniently located near FIU.

The Miami-born fast-casual chicken restaurant started when brothers-in-law Davis Adnan and Randy Morillo discovered their love for Nashville hot chicken while on a trip to…..Los Angeles. Though it wasn’t quite Nashville, they discovered the City of Angels had its own share of delicious restaurants that offered the spicy dish. After days of enjoying this hot and tasty delicacy. Upon returning to Miami, they found the city’s hot chicken selection lacking, so they decided to do something about it, and opened Bro’s Hot Chicken — first at Smorgasburg, then opening a restaurant in Coral Terrace.

The Sweetwater location will offer Nashville hot chicken in heat levels ranging from no spice to mild, medium, hot, extra hot, and fuego (which requires a waiver to be signed). The restaurant offers the chicken as tenders, in sandwiches, a wrap, and in a bowl.
