One of Miami’s finest chefs is opening a new restaurant in Wynwood.
Giorgio Rapicavoli is opening Luca Steak, an Italian steakhouse concept, at Wynwood Plaza, a multi-use building at 95 NW 29th Street, at the crossroads of Wynwood and Midtown Miami. The restaurant will open in 2026, though an exact date has not been announced.
According to the Miami Herald, the 4,500 square foot restaurant will also boast 2,000 square feet of outdoor space next to the building’s 26,000 square foot public plaza that includes art installations and landscaping.
Rapicavoli is best known for his Coral Gables restaurants Eating House and Luca Osteria. The chef also helms the Mayfair Grill at the historic Mayfair House & Garden in Coconut Grove. The Miami-born chef is also the first Miamian to win food Network’s Chopped. At Luca Steak, Rapicavoli will combine his flair for Italian cuisine with a classic American steakhouse.
Luca Steakhouse will anchor the retail portion of the mixed-use complex, joining Sanguich, H&H Bagels, and more.
