Olala Café is owned and operated by Arnaud Combaluzier and his son, Chef Mathis Combaluzier. The café is set to welcome patrons on Friday, offering an authentic French café experience in downtown Nashville.

“My love of pastries and community has guided me from Provence to Paris and Miami, and now to Nashville,” said Chef Mathis Combaluzier. He shared the excitement of bringing his passion to life through his own cafe.

The cafe is located at 818 Palmer Place near Cannery Hall and Cummins Station. Olala Café will serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, and coffee, making it a go-to destination. The interior features antiques sourced from France and décor designed to reflect a traditional French café.

At Olala Café, guests can enjoy an in-house assortment of croissants, pastries, and crepes. The café will also serve breakfast and lunch items prepared fresh daily using traditional French methods. The cafe aims to establish itself as the “Home of the Croissant in Nashville.”

The cafe also prioritises the convenience of customers. Patrons can access free parking between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. and discounted parking from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“With accessible parking, all-day dining options, and plans for evening programming, we’re hopeful guests will be comfortable visiting us any time of the day, and stay as long as they please,” stated Arnaud Combaluzier.

Chef Mathis Combaluzier, originally from Provence in southeastern France, has had a passion for pastry from a young age. He trained at the École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie Alain Ducasse, an internationally known pastry school.

His father, Arnaud Combaluzier, owns the cafe alongside him, and the pair hope to provide a warm, inviting space that combines a focus on quality food with a community feel. The business also plans to branch out and provide business-to-business services, such as pastries and other bakery items, to other local cafes.

Through its blend of French baking and community-centred values, the cafe will attract both residents and tourists looking for a taste of Europe in Nashville.
