New York-based bar concept Mother’s Ruin is preparing to open a second Nashville location at 2906 12th Ave. S., with plans to debut by the end of the year, according to reporting from the Nashville Business Journal. WhatNow Nashville reached out for additional details, including an exact opening date, but had not received a response at the time of publication.
Once open, Nashville will become the only market where the brand operates two locations, marking a new phase of growth for the concept founded by TJ Lynch and Richard Knapp in New York City.
The upcoming outpost will introduce a rooftop-focused format, with the surrounding area offering a mix of visitor traffic and a strong residential base, according to the Business Journal.
Plans call for a roughly 4,000-square-foot interior paired with a 2,000-square-foot outdoor patio, with a bar designed to connect the indoor space to the rooftop, according to the Nashville Business Journal. Build-out costs are estimated at about $1.1 million based on a Metro permit filing, the publication reports.
Mother’s Ruin operates as an all-day bar concept, offering a walk-in-only experience that runs from daytime service through late night, according to its official website.
The menu reflects that format, with brunch served daily alongside late-night food offerings, like burritos, wings, and burgers, alongside a cocktail-focused beverage program with beer, wine, and frozen drinks, according to its official website.
