Iconic Nashville Burger Restaurant Announces Closure After 16 Years

Burger Up has announced its closure and will serve its last burger in August.

Burger Up is preparing to permanently close its doors. The longtime favorite joint will serve its last burger on August 1. The team behind the restaurant announced the closure on Instagram and thanked the community for its support.

Beloved Burger Up Confirms August Closure

Burger Up serves a menu of specialty burgers, loaded fries, salads, soups, and beverages. The restaurant is located at 12th Ave S, Nashville. Menu offerings include the Woodstock, Double Up, and Black & Blue burgers. The menu also includes a variety of salads and soups, a kids’ menu, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.

In an Instagram post, the restaurant team announced, “After 16 great years, we are sad to announce that we will be closing our doors permanently at the end of next month.”

“Our last day of service will be Saturday, August 1st,” mentioned the team.

The team also thanked the community members and said, “Many thanks go to all of our guests, friends, neighbors, and our fantastic team members for the love and support we have experienced over the years. Serving our community has been our joy and a true pleasure.”

The restaurant team has not shared any official reason for closure.

16 Year Legacy of Burger Up

Burger Up was founded in 2010 with the goal of serving high-quality burgers at accessible prices. The restaurant built its reputation with juicy and delicious burgers made with locally sourced ingredients from farms.

In the last 16 years of business, Burger Up has become a part of the Nashville community. It is a popular gathering spot for friends and families to have a relaxed and casual meal.

Following the announcement, customers shared reactions on social media. “Had my first date with my now fiancé here! Grateful for the memory, sad ur closing! And thus passes my final reason to go to 12th Street South,” wrote one of the customers.

The closure of Burger Up marks the end of a cherished chapter in the Nashville dining community.
