Le Petit Parisien has permanently closed its Upper East Side location. The French bakery serves coffee and sandwiches during the day before transitioning into a full-service restaurant in the evening. The chain’s Lenox Hill and East Village locations will remain open.
Le Petit Parisien Closed Its Upper East Side Doors
Le Petit Parisien’s Upper East Side location closed on August 9. According to Eastsidefeed, a notice posted in the window and signed by ‘the LPP team’ confirmed the closure.
The notice read, “Thank you for the many small and big moments. Allowing us to accompany you and your friends was a privilege. We are closing, but the beautiful memories remain.”
Along with the cafe, the Supper Club by Le Petit Parisien, the evening restaurant has also shut down. The restaurant operated from 5:30 p.m. onward, from Wednesday through Sunday.
The 355 East 78th Street location opened in 2022. Instagram account Merch Motel also reported the closure.

About the Bakery and Cafe
According to the company’s website, Le Petit Parisien in the East Village, opened its doors in 2015. The bakery chain built its reputation by serving authentic French-style pastries and sandwiches. Le Petit Parisien offers a range of simple and delicious sandwiches that are made with high-quality baguettes and ingredients. The bakery especially sources its flour from France and uses the most traditional techniques.
The chain’s two other locations, at 1035 Third Avenue in Lenox Hill and 32 East Seventh Street in the East Village, remain open.
The sudden closure of Le Petit Parisien has left the community in shock. The closure marks the end of a short-lived but significant journey of the chain in the city.
