After a 26-year run at 249 W Broadway that ended in September 2025, hospitality industry hotspot Anotheroom is set to return to Tribeca. Owner Craig Weiss, a neighborhood veteran who operates other establishments, including The Otheroom on Perry Street, recently secured approval from Community Board 1 for a nearly 1,100-square-foot space at 431 Washington St. The upcoming spot will aim to maintain a low-key, community-focused atmosphere with a maximum capacity of 70 guests. The interior layout is designed for conversation and craft beverage appreciation, featuring seven seats at the bar and 10 tables.
True to its industry roots, the new Anotheroom will focus on a curated selection of craft beers, high-quality wines by the glass, and cocktails. While it won’t have a full kitchen, it will offer a sophisticated no-cook menu that includes things like gourmet sandwiches and tinned fish. Weiss told CB1 there is a chance that the space will operate as a cafe during the day. Due to neighbor concerns, the committee compelled stricter closing times than requested: 11 p.m. early in the week and 1 a.m. on weekends. What Now New York has reached out for more information.
