Time Out Market is bringing a second food hall to the city, according to liquor license paperwork filed with Community Board 3 this month. Time Out Market Union Square is expected to open this fall on the ground floor of Zero Irving at 124 East 14th Street, according to an Instagram announcement.

This will be the second Time Out Market in the city, following the opening of Time Out Market New York in Brooklyn in 2019. Time Out Market Union Square will feature multiple kitchens, a fully stocked stand-up bar, a stage for live events and a terrace for outdoor dining.

Time Out Market will operate the bar, and vendors will supply the food served at the food hall. Expect to see local vendors, including “incredible food from the city’s top chefs and rising culinary stars,” according to the Instagram announcement.

Plans include 62 tables that will seat 219 guests, according to liquor license paperwork. The proposed hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Time Out Market New York features local spots like Ess-a-bagel, Bark Barbecue, Clinton St. Baking Company and Doughnuttery.

Time Out Market launched with a food hall in Lisbon in 2014. Since then, Time Out has expanded to multiple food halls dedicated to celebrating culinary creations and cultures across the world. Locations include Barcelona, Boston, Chicago, Dubai, Montreal and Osaka. The Union Square location will be the eleventh location for Time Out Market.

Time Out is also heading to new cities across the world, including Budapest, Vancouver and Abu Dhabi.
