Located at 194 8th Ave., the former Jeannie’s Deli is set to become the Chelsea Organic Market, a move aimed at adding a beer, wine, and cider license. The store will continue to offer both retail groceries and deli-style food, which can be eaten at table seating in the deli. According to a filing with Community Board 4, Chelsea Organic Market will offer sandwiches, wraps, salads, burgers, breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast platters. If the filing is approved, beer and wine will be available for both retail purchase and on-premise consumption.

Food will continue to be prepared in a classic deli kitchen. Customers will be able to point to things that they want on their sandwiches or salads and watch as their food is made in front of them. The deli will be open 24 hours.
