Tinto Tapas & Pasta has announced the closure of its Broadway location this weekend. Just one year after reopening, the restaurant is shutting down.
Known for Italian tapas and a casual dining atmosphere, the team is preparing to restart at a new location.
Tinto Tapas & Pasta Closing This Weekend
Located in the Fountain Hill neighborhood, Tinto Tapas & Pasta is closing down and will serve its final meal on April 25, 2026. The menu features Italian tapas and shareable plates of classic Italian dishes. With an extensive pasta selection, the restaurant has been a local favorite spot.
Popular items on the menu include Maryland Crab Ravioli, Fried Calamari, and Angel Hair Key West.
The team said on Instagram, “After giving this our absolute all, we’ve made the very difficult decision that this will be our final week at our current location, with our last day of service this Saturday.”
The team said they remain proud of what they built despite the challenges.
In a thank you note, the team added, “What we will remember most is you, the customers who supported us, spread the word, celebrated milestones with us, and made Tinto feel alive. For that, we are deeply grateful.”
The restaurant team assured its fans that it will come back soon and said, “This is not goodbye forever. We fully intend to find the right new home and begin again. When that time comes, we hope you’ll be there with us.”

Journey Through Pandemic, Fire, and Relocation

According to WFMZ, Tinto Tapas & Pasta’s journey has been challenging. The husband and wife duo, Giacomo and Victoria Sgroi, started Tinto in March 2025.
Before Tinto, the Sgroi couple operated Nonna Sulina’s Sicilian Kitchen and Grill on Bath Pike in Hanover Township in Northampton County. The former restaurant was founded in 2020, during the pandemic.
In 2024, the restaurant was shut down due to a “destructive fire at the Bath Pike property in July 2024.”
The Tinto Tapas & Pasta team remains optimistic and hopes to return soon with a new space and concept.
