A Tampa-based manufacturer and distributor of musical instruments with nearly 32 years in business has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Court filings show the company’s liabilities exceed its assets and include more than $5 million in unsecured creditor claims.
The petition also identifies affiliated entities that have filed separate bankruptcy cases.
Overview of the Chapter 11 Filing
Financial distress can push a company towards bankruptcy regardless of its industry experience. Armadillo Distribution Enterprises, Inc. is the latest example, which turned to Chapter 11 protection on June 9, 2026.
Attorney Glenn D. Moses of Venable LLP is the legal counsel in the case. Court filings also show that Pamela Keris-Rubinson, the company CEO, signed the petition prior to filing.
Highlights from the Petition
Case filings, as available on PACER, demonstrate a wide gap between the estimated range of assets and liabilities. While its liabilities range up to $50 million, its assets are only in the range of $1 million to $10 million. The estimates indicate the company’s liabilities exceed its assets.
Case filings also include a list of creditors who hold the largest unsecured claims. The filings show Valley National Bank holds the largest unsecured claim, totaling approximately $$3,350,000. Other creditors on the list include American Express, Rockson Musical International Corp, and more.
