Chick-fil-A’s Laguna Niguel location is temporarily closed for a significant renovation project, according to posts from the store’s team. The outpost, 28201 Crown Valley Pkwy, shuttered its doors its late March and is expected to be closed for three to four months during construction.
“We are pleased to share that Chick-fil-A Laguna Niguel is currently undergoing a remodel and is expected to reopen in Summer 2025, pending any delays,” Chick-fil-A, Inc. confirmed to What Now OC.
Remodel efforts involve expanding the restaurant from 3,809 to 4,218 square feet, adding a double-lane drive-thru and drive-thru canopies, 10 additional parking spaces, and refreshing the site’s landscaping. Dining room decor and seating will also be updated, as will kitchen equipment. The city’s Planning Commission unanimously approved the project, records show.
Run by Owner-Operator Mark Howery, the location has been in business for over 14 years. An OC Register article shows he also opened the Ladera Ranch outpost in 2021. Patrons are encouraged to visit that store during the Crown Valley location’s temporary closure.
