Hungry Florida travelers will be able to stop for delicious sandwiches at two new Jimmy John’s locations along the Florida Turnpike in the near future.

Hospitality company Areas recently filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open two new Jimmy John’s locations at two different turnpike rest stops. No official timeline has been announced.

A Jimmy John’s is planned for the Canoe Creek Service Plaza at Turnpike Mile Marker 229 in St. Cloud. Another Jimmy John’s is underway for the Turkey Creek Service Plaza at Turnpike Mile Marker 263 in Ocoee. Both locations are located along the bustling stretch of road that connects northern Florida to the start of the Florida Keys.

Founded in 1983 by Jimmy John Liautaud, Jimmy John’s is a popular fast casual chain known for making customized sandwiches using bread freshly baked in-house and hand-sliced meats. The chain has more than 1,200 locations throughout the country. menu items in

Popular menu items include meal deals that include a sandwich, chips, and soda for under $10. Jimmy John’s also offers gyros, wraps, and  “little Johns” – mini versions of its popular subs.
