According to a recent report in Bungalower, a new French bakery is coming to town.
“Award-winning French chef and pastry expert, Olivier Saintemarie, is opening a new commercial kitchen in Orlando to supply theme parks, restaurants, and other businesses around the country with his special brand of desserts,” the report states.
La Maison Du Macaron will bake up macarons and other French pastries with “locally-sourced ingredients, for wholesale clients and event planners.” It should be noted that while the bakery will not be open to the public as of yet, customers can reportedly arrange to visit for “special presentations.”
“The two-story, 5,800 SF bakery and commercial kitchen will be located on the corner of West Princeton Street and John Young Parkway. Construction is underway, and La Maison Du Macaron is expected to open and begin shipping orders in early 2024,” the report continues.
An Orlando-based chef since 2003, the French-trained Chef Saintemarie has been recognized as one of the “Top 10 Pastry Chefs” by Dessert Professional Magazine and competed as a member of the award-winning 2019 U.S. Pastry Team at the Pastry World Cup in Lyon, per Bungalower.
