Quickly headed towards absolute dining domination, a rapidly expanding food hall has set its sights on Ardmore. Wonder, founded in New York but spreading rapidly across the East Coast, is opening a new location in the neighborhood later this year.
The food hall will be pitching its culinary tent at 17 West Lancaster Avenue, in the space that previously housed Merion Art. While a precise opening date is not currently available, the company’s website states that it will begin serving guests sometime in March.
Founded in 2018, Wonder is still relatively new to the dining scene. Those unfamiliar with the concept are in for a treat; the food hall aggregates several different restaurants helmed by culinary superstars, into one convenient location. Guests can then order from multiple different eateries under one roof and in one transaction.
Wonder has attracted high profile talent, including Jose Andres, Michael Symon, Bobby Flay, and Marcus Samuelsson. The website explains what Ardmore foodies can anticipate, saying: “We partner with incredible restaurants across the country. From Phoenix to Atlanta, and D.C. to Los Angeles, we bring you a taste of what the nation has to offer, just around the corner.”
