Cien Agaves Tacos & Tequila is preparing to open a location this August at 900 N. 54th Street in Chandler, marking the restaurant’s second Valley location. Roque Jimenez, owner of the concept, confirmed the opening timeline to What Now Phoenix.
Cien Agaves is part of Backbar Hospitality Management, a locally owned hospitality company that supports a portfolio of restaurant concepts across Arizona.
The restaurant, which first opened in Scottsdale in 2007, is known for its tacos, margaritas, and extensive selection of premium agave spirits. The concept has earned recognition over the years, including awards from Phoenix New Times for Best Happy Hour and Best Tequila Selection.
At Cien Agaves, the focus is on fresh, made-from-scratch food and drinks prepared daily with high-quality ingredients.
The menu features a mix of traditional Mexican dishes and signature creations, including the Island Shrimp Taco and Tinga Taco. Guests can also choose from burritos, quesadillas, nachos, taquitos, and family-friendly options.
The beverage program is built around more than 100 hand-selected agave spirits and fresh-squeezed margaritas.
