DiMaggio’s Italian Restaurant plans to open its second location in late October at Uptown Plaza, located at 100 E. Camelback Road in Phoenix. Co-owner and executive chef Brandon Gioffre confirmed the timeline to What Now Phoenix.
The restaurant will occupy a courtyard space at the shopping center and include a private dining room with its own entrance, according to AZ Big Media. The Uptown Plaza restaurant is planned as the brand’s flagship. DiMaggio’s existing location is at 7300 N. Vía Paseo del Sur, Building B.
Brandon and Michele Gioffre began selling Italian food at the Uptown Phoenix Farmers Market in 2021. They opened the Scottsdale restaurant the following year.
In 2024, they partnered with developer and former professional baseball player Frank DiMaggio and renamed it DiMaggio’s Italian Restaurant. The couple still runs the farmers market stand on Saturday mornings.
The Scottsdale menu focuses on classic Italian-American cooking, with antipasti, pasta, seafood, chicken, and veal. Brandon makes the restaurant’s mozzarella in-house each morning.
