Soda Rush, a local concept rated best cookies for seven years in a row, is preparing to open a new location in Gilbert at 1495 N Higley Rd Ste 107.
The company’s sixth location is set to replace Batch Cookie Shop, according to the company’s website. Co-owner Amber Johanson tells What Now Phoenix that the company is in the home stretch for this site and hopes to host a grand opening by the end of the month. This will be a corporate-owned site, although Johanson tells What Now they want to lean more on franchised locations. Despite the close opening, the owners say they are still looking to expand, whether with the help of franchises or through themselves. Amber tells What Now that they want to grow into the West Valley and would like to keep operations within Phoenix before expanding beyond the state.
SodaRush is a family-owned soda shop with five locations in Phoenix and one in Thatcher. The company specializes in blended sodas, sometimes called ‘Dirty Sodas,’ fresh-baked cookies, and other treats. The cookies have been a massive success for the company, having been rated as one of the best cookies in Phoenix for several years in a row. The shop provides a cozy space for customers to enjoy refreshing drinks and sweet treats. When the storefront opens, visitors can expect a colorful atmosphere, various custom soda flavors, and the option to mix and match toppings for a personalized drink.
Founded by Amber and Jim Johanson in 2015, SodaRush began as a dream to bring the joy of soda and cookies to Arizona. After relocating with their four children from Kansas, they left behind successful careers to pursue their passion for sweet creations. Over the years, their family has grown alongside the business, with the Johansons dedicated to creating a community-focused brand that spreads happiness and support to those in need. Now, the company hopes to take over Arizona before expanding the concept nationwide and bringing unique drinks and delicious treats to more states across the U.S.
