Life Time is already looking toward additional growth in Arizona following the recent openings of two new Valley locations, according to the Phoenix Business Journal.
The Minnesota-based wellness and fitness company recently debuted Life Time Paradise Valley at the PV mixed-use redevelopment in Phoenix and Life Time Ocotillo in Gilbert, bringing its Arizona footprint to nine locations.
Speaking with the Phoenix Business Journal, founder, chairman and CEO Bahram Akradi said the company sees “a lot of uncovered territory” across the Phoenix market and is looking for additional opportunities in the region.
In a statement shared with Whatnow Phoenix, the company noted that any future Valley locations would continue to embrace the brand’s signature “athletic country club” concept.
“Phoenix is a region where demand for premium health and wellness experiences continues to grow, and we’re excited about continued growth,” Public Relations Manager Dan DeBaun said. No specific future locations or opening timelines have been announced at this time.
Founded in 1992, Life Time has spent recent years expanding into a full lifestyle and wellness ecosystem. Many locations feature expansive fitness floors, resort-style pools, pickleball courts, spas, cafes, coworking lounges and family-focused amenities designed to encourage members to spend extended time onsite.
The company’s growing Arizona focus extends beyond its clubs. Last week, Life Time announced its acquisition of the Phoenix 10K, one of Arizona’s longest-running road races, as part of its expanding athletic events portfolio.
DeBaun added that the acquisition helps create “more ways for our communities to train, connect and take part in events as part of their wellness goals.”
