Red Leaf Organic Coffee is taking over the space near H&M at Vancouver Mall, located at 8700 NE Vancouver Mall Dr in Vancouver, WA. The space has sat empty since Starbucks closed its mall location in 2024. Co-Founder Ray Vandervalk confirmed to What Now Portland that they are planning to open on September 7.
Founded in 2008 in Cowlitz County, Red Leaf built its name on organic coffee and clean ingredients, marketing itself around dye-free drinks and zero-added sugar, with a mission to fuel customers in their pursuit of wellness and vitality. Red Leaf operates stores in Woodland, Longview, Kelso, and Camas. Its 3 franchise stores operate in Kalama, Toutle, and Vancouver (11608 NE 76th St). Red Leaf has been dye-free since opening in 2008. It also has an assortment of delicious gluten-free offerings. Additionally, Red Leaf has won national and international awards for its coffee, making it very popular with its loyal customers.
Red Leaf’s menu includes espresso drinks, smoothies and toasted breakfast sandwiches, along with a rotating lineup of specialty drinks the company promotes heavily on social media, including seasonal flavors like its Blue Dragon drink topped with a colorful halo of foam. The company also runs an event trailer available for private gatherings, offering the same food and drink lineup found at its brick-and-mortar locations, providing an additional revenue stream beyond its storefronts.
According to the Columbian, mall senior general manager Tracy Peters said the property is thrilled to welcome the new coffee company into the space. Vancouver Mall, owned by Centennial Real Estate, has more than 140 stores and is anchored by Macy’s, JCPenney, Hobby Lobby and AMC, sitting just off Interstate 205 and State Route 500, making it one of the busiest retail centers in Southwest Washington.
