A sizzling new buffet-style Asian restaurant is heading to Arden-Arcade.

Crazy Hot Pot Sushi & Grill is set to take over the former Mimi’s Cafe space at 2029 Alta Arden Expressway, confirmed co-owner Jay Lin. Lin is part of a local restaurant group that owns several area eateries.

As the name suggests, the hot pot will be a major draw—guests will simmer raw ingredients like thin-sliced meats, seafood, and vegetables in bubbling pots of broth right at their tables.

The buffet lineup includes lamb, brisket, wagyu beef, and a variety of seafood options. Over at the grill station, chefs will serve up sizzling cuts like ribeye and other premium steaks. There’ll be an appetizer bar, a salad station, and a dessert spread to round out the feast.

And yes—all-you-can-eat sushi is on the menu. Diners can order from iPads at their tables and have fresh rolls delivered directly to them.

Inside, the restaurant will seat about 140 guests, with room for another 40 on the outdoor patio. The Crazy Hot Pot Sushi & Grill team is targeting a December 2025 debut.
