Jack’s Urban Eats, a Sacramento-based fast-casual chain offering sandwiches, salads, comfort food, and more, has signed a lease for a new site in Carmichael at 4005 Manzanita Ave., Suite 1.

The company’s 12th location is set to open in a 3,600-square-foot site, which was the former home of Citibank within the Carmichael Village shopping center, according to Sacramento Business Journal. Jack’s Urban Eats is expected to open this location in Fall 2025, adding more than 30 jobs to the Carmichael area.

Customers can expect a large dining room and outdoor patio facing the Fair Oaks Boulevard and Manzanita Avenue intersection. Jeremy Goebel, a part owner of several Jack’s Urban Eats locations in the area, tells the business journal that the chain is working on adding more Jack’s Urban Eats sites in California. It’s unclear where else the company hopes to expand following the Carmichael site.

Jack’s Urban Eats first opened in 1998 and has since expanded throughout California, including in Midtown Sacramento, Arden-Arcade, Natomas, Gold River, Folsom, Elk Grove, Davis, and Roseville. Now, the chain will bring its fresh, affordable meals to Carmichael, offering an eclectic, laid-back atmosphere. Customers can expect the same menu and welcoming environment as the other locations.

The brand will undoubtedly succeed in this 1989-built shopping center. The mall is anchored by Bel Air and includes retailers Dollar Tree and Ace Hardware. Other eateries at the center include Round Table Pizza, Jamba Juice, Noah’s NY Bagels, Taco Bell, Wingstop, Baskin Robbins, Burgerim, and Starbucks. With this amount of foot traffic, Jack’s Urban Eats should have no problems getting customers in the doors.
