A new restaurant is quietly in the works for Folsom’s Broadstone Plaza, though specifics are still under wraps for now.
Rahi Hospitality Group has filed for an alcohol license with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control for a forthcoming restaurant at 2791 E Bidwell St, Suite 100. The space previously housed Indian-Chinese fusion restaurant Red Hot Chilli Pepper.
While the name, concept, and menu have not yet been revealed, Rahi Hospitality CEO Gagan Bahad confirmed the project with What Now Sacramento, noting that it is still a “few months away” from opening. He added that more details will be shared closer to launch.
Bahad is developing the new restaurant alongside COO Gurdeep Singh and CFO Kamal Dhindsa, according to the filings. Bahad’s LinkedIn profile shows a background spanning investment properties, construction, and franchise development, suggesting that the upcoming project may reflect a wider strategy to build out a growing portfolio of dining and hospitality concepts.
When it opens, the restaurant will join dozens of existing tenants at Broadstone Plaza, including Aloha Sushi, Falafel Corner, Bober Tea & Coffee, and Del Taco, as well as retail neighbors like Old Navy, Michaels, and Bath & Body Works.
Red Hot Chilli Pepper ceased operations in early 2026. A notice was subsequently posted at the business stating that the turnkey restaurant was for sale, and it was officially listed as closed.
Keep an eye out for details as the new eatery begins to take shape in the coming months.
